Atomic scientist Peter Standish travels back in time to 1784, an era he has read about in his forefather's diaries. He falls in love with his forefather's cousin, Helen, but his contemporaries of 1784 are perplexed by his strange talk and the odd knowledge he possesses. Remake of Berkeley Square (1933).

Before you choose
Time travel drives much of the story.
Meets the archive’s time-travel criteria. The mechanism is classified as Consciousness transfer.
The scientist’s prolonged stay in 1784, future knowledge and historically constrained romance drive the film. The return and its emotional consequences matter, although most action is a single historical visit.
A lightning strike transfers Peter Standish into his eighteenth-century ancestor’s body; consciousness transfer takes priority over the electrical trigger.

Aggregate source ratings
Titan combines the archive’s quality, audience and legacy base with the significance of time travel. It is an index, not a score out of 100, and is distinct from the FMV archive’s scoring model.
Titan = base × [0.20 + 0.80 × (time-travel score ÷ 10)²]
This film: 55.04 base × 59.2% weighting.
Partial inputs flag incomplete source metadata. Provisional weighting flags a time-travel assessment that remains uncertain; it receives no additional confidence penalty.
