Timeslip

An atomic scientist is found floating in a river with a bullet in his back and a radioactive halo around his body. The radioactivity has put him seven-and-a-half seconds ahead of us in time. He teams up with a reporter to stop his evil double from destroying his experiments in artificial tungsten.

Before you choose

What kind of time-travel story is this?

Time travel is an important premise, with limited sustained exploration.

Meets the archive’s time-travel criteria. The mechanism is classified as Nonlinear temporal perception.

Why the archive makes this assessment (spoilers)

A scientist living seven and a half seconds ahead supplies the distinctive mystery and investigative clues. The surrounding espionage story gives the temporal anomaly less sustained exploration than a full time-travel adventure.

Radiation places a scientist several seconds ahead of ordinary time, giving him displaced temporal experience.

How Titan works

Titan combines the archive’s quality, audience and legacy base with the significance of time travel. It is an index, not a score out of 100, and is distinct from the FMV archive’s scoring model.

Titan = base × [0.20 + 0.80 × (time-travel score ÷ 10)²]

This film: 43.66 base × 48.8% weighting.

Partial inputs flag incomplete source metadata. Provisional weighting flags a time-travel assessment that remains uncertain; it receives no additional confidence penalty.
