Before you choose
Time travel drives much of the story.
A borderline case: the temporal interpretation remains disputed. The mechanism is classified as Unknown.
Jennie, a girl who speaks of long-gone events and carries a dated newspaper, reappears to the painter Eben every few weeks several years older, hurrying through time so he will wait for her to grow up. Their romance across eras is the whole film, and once Eben learns she died years earlier in a storm, he goes to the lighthouse on its anniversary to try to save her as the storm recurs. The temporal premise drives the story from first meeting to climax. It stops at 7 because it is never explained, involves no travel by Eben and plays equally as a ghost story, and the past cannot be changed.
Jennie appears at changing ages and the climax echoes a past storm; ghostly visitation versus literal temporal displacement remains ambiguous in consulted accounts.

Aggregate source ratings
Titan combines the archive’s quality, audience and legacy base with the significance of time travel. It is an index, not a score out of 100, and is distinct from the FMV archive’s scoring model.
Titan = base × [0.20 + 0.80 × (time-travel score ÷ 10)²]
This film: 89.08 base × 59.2% weighting.
Partial inputs flag incomplete source metadata. Provisional weighting flags a time-travel assessment that remains uncertain; it receives no additional confidence penalty.
