What kind of time-travel story is this?

Time travel is an important premise, with limited sustained exploration.

Meets the archive’s time-travel criteria. The mechanism is classified as Causal Loop.

Why the archive makes this assessment (spoilers)

The journalist Villafañe and the poet Oribe come to La Adela, a remote Pampas estate where the severe Vermehren lives cut off with his daughters. The secret the film uncovers is that Lucía has an incurable illness, so her father has decided to stop the passage of time by having the household repeat the same daily routine without the slightest change, as if the same day went on for over a year. When the outsiders break the ritual, Lucía dies and the mystery turns on Oribe's part in it. Halting time is the central idea, but it is a family's ritual whose fantastic success is left ambiguous rather than a depicted loop or journey, so the score drops from 7 to 5.

The family perpetually repeats the same day to prevent a daughter's death; sourced synopsis describes a repeating interval.

How Titan works

Titan combines the archive’s quality, audience and legacy base with the significance of time travel. It is an index, not a score out of 100, and is distinct from the FMV archive’s scoring model.

Titan = base × [0.20 + 0.80 × (time-travel score ÷ 10)²]

This film: 50.45 base × 40.0% weighting.

Partial inputs flag incomplete source metadata. Provisional weighting flags a time-travel assessment that remains uncertain; it receives no additional confidence penalty.
